Official Rules

Who can enter?

Anyone who lives or works in Washington and is 18 years or older can enter to win prizes.

What type of trips count?

Qualifying trips include commutes, errands, and more; anything where you would have usually driven alone but are instead choosing a sustainable trip mode. You must be traveling to and from a destination. Going for a recreational bike ride doesn’t count, but biking to the grocery store does. Inviting a friend to hang out in the car with you while you run errands doesn’t count as carpooling, but driving together with a coworker into the office or to a meeting instead of driving separately does. Driving your car alone onto a ferry doesn’t count, but walking or biking onto a ferry does.

Qualifying trip modes: carpool, vanpool, bus, train, light rail, foot ferry, bicycle, walking, rolling, skateboarding.

If you have a question about a specific trip mode, please reach out using the contact page.

How do I log my trips?

To log your trips, you need to create an account on RideshareOnline.com, or another partner organization based on your location. Please refer to the Log My Trips page for more information. Trips taken between October 1st and October 31st are eligible for the SYT campaign. Trips can be logged retroactively until November 7th.

How do I win prizes?

To be entered into the prize drawing, you must log at least 10 sustainable trips between October 1st and October 31st by November 7th.

What if I already travel sustainably?

If you already use sustainable modes like walking, biking, and riding transit, that’s great! You can still log your sustainable trips to be eligible to win prizes.
